The city of Novosibirsk and Ob river have an unbreakable bond, where apart from the latter playing a primary role in the history of the territory, it modified the development of the city until it created a split in the urbanised territory.
Studio Marco Piva drew inspiration from this same river, and proposes to activate a process of city re-qualification aimed at re-establishing and strengthening both the relations intrinsic to the city as well as the relations between the city and the river.
The river is represented like a dynamic, insatiable phenomenon, portrayed in ice by a talented photographer: winter.
The inner distribution of the river terminal is studied in order to obtain the maximum movement as well as to maintain a suitable flexibility of the spaces. These characteristics aim at accentuating the conduct of the building and the comfort of the customers, where the architecture project includes a hotel and annexed conference center.
