The  motif ROSETTE, designed by Marco Piva for Xilo1934, belongs to the recent collection of decorative parquets conceived to transfer on the wood the ancient painting art, to emphasize the precious material’s quality and give to it new expressive possibilities.
ROSETTE, created in three different tones to highlight the contrast with the wooden material, represents the encounter between geometry and opulence, the fusion of Art with the wooden vains.
The decoration intentionally refers to the baroque art, characterized by curved lines, sinuous trends of ellipses and spirals, concentric twists of different graphic depths.
Complex and elaborated shapes but never fortuitous: the decorative abundance typical of the baroque period is organized according to the rose window’s archetype, which is developed around a centre and equally subdivided.
